Evelyn Weger

1st Vice-President (2023-2024)


Evelyn Weger, BA, BSW, MSW, RSW, has worked in social services since 1982. Originally educated as a child and youth care worker at the University of Victoria, Evelyn completed her BSW at the University of Victoria in 2004 and her MSW at Carleton University in 2007. 

Throughout her career Evelyn has been employed in a diverse cross-section of positions from adolescent and adult addictions, youth mental health and child protection to paediatric and adult acute care. Evelyn transitioned into a community rehabilitation program in 2018 where she is employed as the co-director of the Primary Progressive Aphasia Program and a frontline social worker.  Additionally, Evelyn has a part-time private practice.

Evelyn has been a member of the OASW since 2005.  In 2018, she was elected to the OASW Provincial Board of Directors. In April 2021, Evelyn joined the Canadian Association of Social Workers Board of Directors as the Ontario representative.
