OASW's 2024 Annual General Meeting & Joan MacKenzie Davies Lecture

OASW is inviting all of its members across Ontario to join us for the 2024 Annual General Meeting and Joan MacKenzie Davies Lecture, to be held virtually on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. 

Open to attend at no cost to all OASW members in good standing, this virtual event will feature opportunities to:

  • receive the Annual Report of association activities and the 2023 audited financial statements
  • vote to ratify the proposed slate of candidates to OASW's Board of Directors and proposed changes to OASW's By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation
  • celebrate and hear from the social work leaders being honoured with our 2024 Inspirational Leader Award and Lifetime Achievement Award
  • hear from Dr. Komal Bhasin for our 5th annual Joan MacKenzie Davies Lecture

Join us for this energizing keynote designed to help you think differently about the unique value of social work, and how this can be demonstrated, leveraged, and paired with other critical skills to reach new heights and possibilities. OASW is the voice of the social work profession in Ontario. It is a voluntary, bilingual, non-profit association representing approximately 9,000 social workers. All members have a university degree in social work at the bachelor, master or doctoral level. OASW works to actively speak on behalf of social workers on issues of interest to the profession and advocates for the improvement of social policies and programs directly affecting social work practice and client groups served.
