Recent Branch Activities

The Branch organized a lunch and seminar on Aging in collaboration with the Whitby Mental Health Centre as part of Social Work Week activities.

Since our Branch area does not include a School of Social Work, we try to focus on providing professional development events for our membership.

Our next event is June 15, 2009.  We will be providing a one day workshop on Therapeutic Approaches to Gambling and Other Addictions with Steve Chiasson as presenter.  This workshop is sponsored jointly by our Branch and the Whitby Mental Health Centre’s Social Work Council.  The event is free for Branch members, WMHC social workers and OASW members from other Branches and includes lunch.  The cost is $50 for other registrants.
