Recent Branch Activities

  • AGM took place on April 23, 2009 and included a call for poster presentation from students enrolled in the Advanced Placement Seminar. 
  • Social Work Week events involved both the social work student body and our general membership.

Advocacy Committee

Our Advocacy Committee continues to work on various key areas: poverty; child & youth issues; and ODSP transportation issue.  The committee is also exploring ways that our branch can get involved in FNTI (First nations Technical Institute). This committee’s goal is to obtain involvement from our membership, students, and community members.

Our board members are represented on the following provincial committees:

  • Provincial Nominating Committee
  • The Child & Youth Task Group
  • Organizational Review Task Group
