Recent Branch Initiatives

Social Work Week

On Thursday, March 4th, the Social Action Committee of King’s University College’s Social Work Students Association held a 30-Hour Famine.

On Friday, March 5th, Marvyn Novick presented on “Poverty: Voices Across the Lifespan”.

There was an OASW table display throughout the week at the downtown Central Library.
Alicia Cooper, a social worker from the London Health Sciences Centre gave a seminar on “Poverty and Homelessness” for the social workers in health care, sponsored in part by the Branch.
