OASW Named as 2022 Finalist by Charity Village for Best Non-profit Employer – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

OASW is honoured to share that we have been named a finalist in the 2022 CharityVillage Awards for Best Non-profit Employer – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (20+ Staff).

We are also thrilled to share that OASW’s CEO, Dr. Deepy Sur has been announced as a finalist for Best Individual Contribution to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace.

Recognized for her immense leadership and steadfast focus, Deepy has been driving measurable, meaningful, and transformative action to integrate equity into all that we do at OASW, while inspiring others within Ontario’s social work profession to do the same.

With over 200 submissions, these awards are meant to recognize the contributions of thought leaders and change-makers within the non-profit sector across Canada, and we could not be more pleased to share the designation of “finalist” with so many esteemed colleagues.

OASW is the voice of social work in Ontario. It is a voluntary, bilingual, non-profit association representing 8,500+ social workers. All members have a university degree in social work at the bachelor, master or doctoral level. OASW works to actively speak on behalf of social workers on issues of interest to the profession and advocates for the improvement of social policies and programs directly affecting social work practice and client groups served.
