OASW Receives National Recognition for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as Top 5 Finalist in CharityVillage Awards

The Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) is thrilled to have been named among the top five finalists for Best Nonprofit Employer – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (20+ Staff) by CharityVillage at their 2022 Annual Conference and Awards celebration on November 30, 2022.

We are also so pleased to share that OASW’s CEO, Dr. Deepy Sur was among the top five finalists for Best Individual Contribution to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace.

"To be recognized alongside incredible thought leaders and change makers in the Canadian non-profit sector who are advancing critical work in equity, diversity and inclusion is a privilege -- our sincerest congratulations to all award winners. This work is not done alone. Central to our success has been the immense contributions of members of our Equity Integration Advisory Group, our Board of Directors, and staff team." - Dr. Deepy Sur, CEO

OASW is committed to our journey to integrate equity into all that we do. To learn more about this work, see Moving Ahead Together, our newly released 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.
