OASW and CASW Honour Social Workers Across Ontario with the National Social Work Month Distinguished Service Award

Each year, the National Social Work Month Distinguished Service Award is given by the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) to an individual or group of individuals selected by CASW's partner organizations.

In 2022, we are pleased to share that OASW has chosen to honour all Social Workers who have supported the mental health and well-being of Ontarians during the COVID-19 pandemic with the Distinguished Service Award. We are grateful for and honour the exceptional leadership and continued dedication of Ontario's 20,000+ social workers to the profession and those we serve in the face of immense personal and professional challenges during COVID-19. Now more than ever, our skills and training are required to support mental health and well-being in communities across the province.

We thank our members and social workers across Ontario for your essential service and remain committed to standing with you to increase mental health access for all.
