OASW is pleased to welcome proposals for conference sessions and poster presentations for the 2020 Provincial Social Work

Conference taking place on November 13 and 14, 2020 at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto.

All submissions should reflect the 2020 conference theme: Innovative Approaches to Complex Needs: Social Workers Influencing the Future of Care and/or at least one of the following three subthemes:

  • Diversity, Equity and Human Rights
  • Digital Transformation in Social Work
  • Innovative Social Work Approaches

Before submitting your application, we encourage all applicants to read the detailed Call for Proposals, to learn more about the theme, subthemes and process for proposal review. You can locate the Call for Proposals here: www.oasw.org/2020conference

In an effort to extend learning opportunities to those unable to attend the conference and to document this event, OASW may wish to videotape and/or photograph your presentation or poster session.


By submitting your proposal, you are indicating your understanding of the following presenter requirements and expectations.

  • All accepted presenters are asked to submit a PDF copy of their poster or electronic materials such as PowerPoint slides and handouts no later than 11:59 PM (EST) on Sunday, November 1, 2020.
  • All presenters must be available to present at any time during the conference. We regret we will be unable to accommodate scheduling requests.
  • All presenters of accepted proposals will be required to register for the conference. A reduced fee for presenters will be available
